Winter Break 2010
What happens at school during the winter break? That is a common question that is often asked. Normally all classrooms are thoroughly cleaned and gym floors buffed and waxed. Bathrooms are also sanitized and hallways are steam cleaned or buffed. In addition to these tasks, we are also shoveling and plowing a great deal of snow this year. The threat of an outbreak of the NORVO virus has custodians applying extra effort to common areas and items such as lunch tables, door knob, handrails and locker rooms to keep them sanitized daily. Teachers also have approved cleaners to kill the virus in their classrooms to maintain a healthy school environment. Winter break also finds many teacher working in classrooms to prepared for the spring term and coaches conducting practice to prepare for the coming varsity season.
