Parent Teacher conferences were held this week. This is always an important process as parents, students and teachers meet to review progress and discuss mutual concerns. The weather is obviously starting to mirror the calendar as the cold and snow seem to be moving in quickly after a beautiful fall.

The final two weeks of school are packed with many activities. Each school is involved in a service project for this holiday season. We have several boys and girls basketball games yet to be played before the junior varsity season concludes on December 15^th. There are also three concerts featuring our students in grades 3 through 8, as well as the annual 8^th grade Ballroom Dance on Friday, December 17^th.

The Annual Winter Festival of Bands will be held at Lakeview on Saturday, December 4^th. During the day, bands from throughout the Chicago land area will be performing including three of our own District 66 bands.

As the weather changes, driving conditions on our parki ng lots and driveways may deteriorate even though we keep them well plowed and salted. Please take the extra time to slow down and help us keep our students and staff safe as they move about the campus.
