Strategic Planning Community Planing Session

On Saturday, January 23rd over 70 members of the wider community met at Prairieview School to review goal progress and discuss new goals to help guide the District for the next three years. The planning groups included parents, staff members, representatives from other local public entities, members of the Board of Education and members of the community.

This session was facilitated by Dr. Susan Schwicardi and Dr. William Schewe of S & S Educational Consulting. The group reviewed data from 21 focus groups, over 750 student surveys, over 450 parent surveys and staff surveys. During the course of the day members of the planning group met in small groups to develop priority goals which were then reduced to five critical goals per group. The day culminated with a large group session in which each small group shared their five goals with the large group. Working with the facilitators the large group then prioritized the suggested goals.

These priority goals will be developed into District goals for approval by the Board of Education over the next few months. Thanks to everyone who participated in this process this year. Watch for the new goals on our website at www.ccsd66.org. It was a great day!
